True Colors of Taiwan
Exhibition

The immersive theater True Colors of Taiwan blends holographic projection, high fidelity art display, and light installations to create a journey through shifting landscapes across time. It captures Taiwan’s natural scenery and the play of light and shadow, reflecting each artist’s unique perception of color.

“The One Who Paints From Life” steps into the canvas through layered hues, where color and movement intertwine in a dramatic visual flow. Folk melodies, dialect poems, and sung verse echo through the space, resonating with ambient sound and color to manifest the richness and resilience of Taiwanese art. Soft blues of dawn, the warm gold of the afternoon sun, and the russet glow of dusk—these colors of mountain, sea, and city carry memories of history and place, forming the wellspring of artistic inspiration. Taiwanese artists excel at synthesis. Among landscapes and people, they paint the spirit of believing in life itself—each brushstroke and each wash of color pays a quiet tribute to the land they call home.

The museum, focused on visual arts, is dedicated to collecting and studying significant works that illustrate the evolution of art in Taiwan. It also curates exhibitions featuring both local and international artists to promote global artistic exchange. Additionally, the NTMoFA offers a variety of inclusive art education programs, creating a welcoming and accessible environment for art appreciation. These initiatives aim to preserve Taiwan’s artistic heritage, encourage artistic development, enhance public cultural literacy, and foster international cultural connections and dialogue.
