STUDIO B Island Soundscape

Electric visions and sonic waves | Taiwan’s unique acoustic field | Faith in life

"Island Soundscape" invites visitors to immerse themselves in sound. In this collage-like sound theater, visitors can move through Taiwan’s layered soundscapes: listening to the chirping of birds in the mountains, the tides crashing against the shore, the wind sweeping across rice fields, the buzz of street corners, and the clamor of temple fairs while following spheres of light that guide them through Taiwan’s sonic memories. Visitors will also see how artists are inspired by Taiwan’s native species, combining mythical beast visuals and sound fields to create “sound totems” that embody the symbolic richness of Taiwan’s blended culture through the perspective of sound.

Piann-Tiunn is an interdisciplinary art project that brings together contemporary artists, choreographers, music producers, bands, costume designers, architects, comic artists, and writers. Through collaborative creation and interpretation, the project transforms historical events in Taiwan into contemporary works that can be seen and felt. In doing so, these critical moments in history are no longer just fading anecdotes but have become active reflections that shape how Taiwanese people define their own historical perspective.

Born in 1982 in Yilan, Lee Wen-Cheng rediscovered his hometown through art. Calling himself “Super-Taiwan Lee Wen-Cheng,” he works toward the goal of cultural nation-building, with the aspiration of becoming an artist who leads like the king of kids. Centered on collaborative creation, Lee uses a wide range of tools, including digital images, animation, spatial design, installation, games, curatorial work, cross-disciplinary projects, and artistic direction, to foster dialogue through art. He seeks to transform the charm and kitsch of everyday Taiwanese life into avant-garde symbols, experimenting with the diverse vitality of local culture and hoping to inspire a renewed sense of identity and appreciation for Taiwanese artistic expression.

Audio-Visual Work|LuxuryLogico external link external link

LuxuryLogico works with a hybrid, cross-disciplinary approach, creating work that spans theater, film, dance, architecture, pop music, and even economic behavior. By weaving together music, visuals, installations, and text, their projects take on a multitude of forms. Their style leans toward clean, minimal structures that convey a sense of ease, often drawing inspiration from the natural environment to explore reflections on the human condition within a spectacle-driven society. At the heart of their practice is a search for harmony between the extremes of advanced technology and deeply human concerns, aiming to spark creativity along the way.
